You must bring a current, valid government-issued photo identification (driver license or state ID) and display it to hub staff. Staff will match the name and number to this account and scan or photograph the license for the transaction file. This follows the identification procedures used by Florida pawnbrokers and secondhand dealers: Fla. Stat. § 538.04 (secondhand dealers must verify identity by exhibition of a government-issued photographic identification such as a driver license, record the issuing agency and number, and may keep an electronic image of that identification); Fla. Stat. § 539.001, the Florida Pawnbroking Act (a conveying customer’s government-issued photo ID, or an electronic image of that ID, must be recorded, including issuing agency and identification number). False or altered identification is a crime. Merchandise will not be accepted or released if the license cannot be produced, does not match this file, or is expired.
